Why Apple would be fine without Jobs

I read this article because I like Apple products. This article brings up good points which made me believe apple will continue creating hit products in the future even without Jobs as CEO. Steve Jobs left Pixar and they are still very sucsessful under their new owner, so if Jobs leaves Apple I believe Apple will still have a bright future pushing out great new products. This article was very persuasive but i couldnt identify any persuasive techniques.

            The first airplane was built by the Wright Brothers and flown on Dec 17, 1903. This led to many advancements in the technology of the flight of human beings. Airplanes are the greatest invention to come out of the 20^th century. The airplane since then has evolved for mass transportation and war, people are capable of going long distances quickly, and they are very safe.

            To begin, the airplane is helpful in several different parts of society. The air force is a strong and very important part of war. Without planes the military would be limited severely in their attacks. Personnel and other military equipment can be transported quickly around the world inside of aircraft. Another aspect that airplanes are useful for is vacation and tourism. “About 42 percent of U.S. adults reported traveling by air for leisure trips taken between August 2008 and July 2009” (“travelhorizons”).

            Another reason to fly may be due to the airplane is extremely fast and goes all around the world. You can travel from New York to Paris in under 8 hours by plane. That is across the Atlantic Ocean over 3,600 miles in under 8 hours! The Boeing 747 a typical passenger jet cruises at nearly 600 MPH more than twice as fast as any car ever built(“WikiAnswers”).

            Although fast air travel is very safe and in control, before every flight the plane is inspected  for any repairs that are nessacary. But safety really starts in the lobby. All passengers are checked for weapons before allowed on planes. Your pilot has to complete over 1,500 hours of flight before he is awarded his certifcation.(“How To Become a Pilot”).

On the other, hand some pedestrians are paranoid of the thought of being on a commercial airplane; but in all reality it is the safest way to travel. Out of the 10.8 million flights that took off in 2007 and 2008, only 28 accidents involving large commercial carriers took place those years (“Softpedia”). So would you rather be in an airplane or driving along side texting teens or intoxicated strangers?

           

             All in all, Throughout history men always wanted to fly like the birds the birds. So aircraft is one of mankind's greatest inventions for sure. It certainly has made the world a smaller placeto everyone.

My opinion...

Blogging is okay, I prefer do this over the assignments that we would normally do. I like to work on the computer more than anything because it is fun and you can do so much.
